Schedule of Assignments
Due to the high volume of reading assignments for this course, I have taken the time to create a schedule of assignments for my lovely students. The work featured on each calendar day is what you should have read prior to attending class on that day. FOR EXAMPLE: If Faulkner's "A Rose for Emily" is listed on January 22nd, it is highly recommended that you thoroughly read the work the night of January 21st. Please keep in mind that these dates are not set in stone, but will be in accordance with the schedule I will stick to throughout the semester.
The instructor recommends that all students AVOID using Spark Notes, Cliff Notes, and other so-called "grade saving" websites to substitute for actually reading the assignments. Aside from missing out on some rather fantastic literature and class discussion, these websites tend to greatly handicap students. Not only will these websites cause you to fail my occasional "checky-uppy poos" (otherwise known as "pop quizzes"), but they will also severely prevent you from adequately performing on my teacher-made exams, and perhaps most importantly the AP exam for this course.
